He was predeceased by: his parents, Milfred Kempel and Dorothy Kempel (Krienke); and his children-in-law, Martha Kempel and Jon Daws. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Harrenstein of Lena; his children, Donald Kempel (Kristen Keith) of Lena, Gary Kempel (Amy) of Lena, Anne Kempel-Daws of Lena and Keith Kempel (Christy) of Lena; his grandchildren, Matthew Kempel (Emiley), Phillip Kempel, William Kempel (Codi), Nicholas Daws, Ariel Zellmer (Noah), Samantha Kempel, Andrew Kempel and Emily Kempel; and his great grandchild Oliver Kempel.
