He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Amendt and Rose Amendt (Mast); his daughter Linda R. Benninger (Amendt); his siblings, Reuben, Karl, Kenneth and Lucille; and his siblings-in-law, Kay Amendt, Ruby Amendt, Mae Gibson, Lois Bonebright, Joyce Wybourn, Jack Hessenius, Allan Gibson, Elwyn Bonebright and Harlan Wybourn.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Paul; his sister-in-law Doris Amendt; his son-in-law James Benninger of Hurley, WI; his grandchildren, Kerri Lovell (Scott) of St. John, IN and Matthew Benninger (Melinda) of Marquette, MI; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Jacob Lovell, Caleb and Nathaniel Benninger.
