He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Wernicke and Marie Wernicke (Breed); and his wife Anita Rood. He is survived by: his son Ryan Wernicke (Mary) of Lena; his grandchildren, Laci, Ty and Isabella; and his siblings, Alan Wernicke and Lynda Greeley (Reggie).
