He was predeceased by: his child Virginia Johnson Schermerhorn; his former wife Donna Euhus Schermerhorn; and his son Gary Grinnell. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his sons, Wayne Schermerhorn (Brad) of Cherry Valley, IL and David Bernet (Lisa) of Freeport, IL; and his grandchildren, Ashlee Bernet of Carbondale, IL and Lindsee Stephens (Chris) of Thompson.
