With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Smith of Lemont, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on December 21, 2024 at the age of 70, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Smith; and his brothers, Tom Smith (late Margaret), Jim Smith (Gayle), Bob Smith (Janis) and Ray Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his daughters, Jillian Smith and Lisa Scudder (Jim); his grandson Henry Scudder; and his brother-in-law Frank Szoldatits (Michelle). He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cyril & Methodius Church (608 Sobieski St, Lemont, IL 60439). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
