He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Stoops and Elizabeth Stoops (Kane); his siblings, Edward Stoops and Rosemay Yates (William); his granddaughter Callie Rae Stoops; and his parents-in-law, John and Margaret Kickels.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Nicholas Stoops (Allison) and Rebecca Stoops; his granddaughters, Jordan Flowers, Riley and Kenzie Stoops; his great grandchild Sofia Vargas; and his siblings, John Stoops and Joan Christensen (late Gail). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, brothers and sister's in-law and many great friends.
George fought a strong courageous battle with various recent ailments, a stroke and complications related to COVID-19.
