Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved George Athanasiou of Lemont, Illinois, who passed away, on November 30, 2020. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dafne Tembellis, Gust and Steve Athanasiou. He is survived by: his wife Sophia Athanasiou of Lemont; his daughters, Maria Kroll (Anthony) of Cary, IL and Demitra Andretich (Nicholas) of Lockport, IL; and his grandchildren, Alexandra, Sofia, Daniel, Nina, Maximos, Julia Kroll, George, Anna and Luke Andretich. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Face masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Funeral services will be held privately by the family, however, the family has chose to live stream the service at http://www.allsaintsjoliet.com on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 12 noon with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to All Saints Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated.
