He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Sobeck and Aurelia Sobeck. He is survived by: his siblings, Ed and Videntia; his wife Maureen; his sisters, Dorothy Miller and Rita Hathaway (Paul); his sons, Eddie (Carol), Greg (Debbie) and Denny; and his grandchildren, Zachary (Alexa), Nathan, Katie, Victoria, Shannon, Natalie and Lindsey.

“My sincerest sympathies. He was my favorite uncle. He was kind, funny, and quirky. He was enormously proud of his children and grandchildren, but he always remembered his extended family. I looked forward to his visits and fulfilling orders for homemade mashed-potatoes,stuffed cabbage, and certain libations. He could never tell a joke without laughing before the punchline, which made it twice as funny. I'll miss him but I know he and his doppelgänger Ed Videncia will be watching from above”
