Wayne Gunderson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Gunderson of Leland, Illinois, who passed away on May 30, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Gunderson and Esther Gunderson (Terry); his former wife Annette Mae Hanson; his son Ty; his brothers, Graham Gunderson and Keith Gunderson; and his stepson Rob Aschinger.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Aschinger; his children, Holly Ratko (Thomas) of Rocky Mount, MO and Chad Gunderson (Patricia) of New Lenox, IL; his siblings, Kenneth Gunderson of DeKalb, IL, Mary Leach of Sandwich, IL and Patricia Peterson of Peoria, IL.; and his stepdaughter Teri Dunshee. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Leland School District, Leland Ambulance and Fire Service, and/or Bethany Lutheran Church.
