With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Claudia Salyers (Leland, Illinois), born in Harrison, Arkansas, who passed away on January 31, 2020 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Spencer and Mildred Spencer (Dickey); her grandchild Kelly Elaine; her daughter Kelly Elaine Hoekema; and her brother Robert Charles Spencer.

She is survived by: her daughter Jeannie Lynn (Brad); her husband Gary Salyers of Leland, Illinois; her siblings, Kerrie "Lynnette" Beisel (Sean) of Kansas City, Judith "Judy" Lawrence of Warsaw, Illinois and Kevin Spencer of Rochelle, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Kaylee Gilpin, Brittin, Brooke and Sean Hoekema. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be directed to the Elvaston Community Church or HUGS of Hancock County.
