With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward J. Benner (Lee, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 13, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edward J. Benner to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Benner and Mabel Benner (Maakestad); his wife Joan C. Edwards; and his siblings, George W. Benner, Robert M. Benner and Marion Benner Monroe.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Sheahan (Rich), Ken Benner and Kristen Edecker (Bryan); his grandchildren, Brian Sheahan (Adrienne), Tim Sheahan (Andrea) and Amy Sheahan; and his great grandchildren, Kaden, Aaliyah, Adella and Elleson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (240 W Hardanger Gate, Lee, IL 60530). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ed's memory may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
