He is survived by: his wife Joyce of Lee; his children, Christine Johnson (James) of Shabbona, Eileen Duval (Ronald) of Steward and Michael Thorsen of Lee; his grandchildren, Alexander Johnson of Chicago, Abigail Garcia (David) of Wellington, CO, Charles Duval (Abagail) of Cheyenne, WY, Joshua Duval of Chicago and Margaret Duval of Enterprise, AL; and his sister Kathleen Lutz of Rochelle.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvary Lutheran Church-Lee (19 Perry Rd, Lee, IL 60530). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Charles's memory at Calvary Lutheran Church in rural Lee.
