She was predeceased by: her parents, Malvin Njoten and Gudrun Njoten (Iversdotter); and her husband Arnold B. Stangeland. She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Kanwischer (Doug) of Bettendorf, IA and Julie McLearen (James) of Woodridge, IL; her grandchildren, Dax and Brynn Kanwischer; and her brother Reidar Njoten (Ingunn). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Before the pandemic, she frequented the Rochelle Senior Center and was looking forward to attending regular events there again.
