We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2023, at the age of 93, Robert J. Schmitt of Lebanon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schmitt and Anna Schmitt; his wife Merhlene Schmitt; his children, Joe Schmitt and Lisa Suydam; his son-in-law Keith Suydam; his grandson Jason Schmitt; and his siblings, Helen Noll, Florence Wuench, Marie Liening, Mildred Dodds, Eugene Schmitt, Rudolph Schmitt and Otmar Schmitt.
He is survived by: his son Bobby Schmitt (Cheri) of Lebanon, IL; his grandchildren, Nathan Schmitt, Tyson Schmitt, Haley Schmitt, Joey Schmitt, Amy Suydam, Brandi Suydam, Kyle Suydam (Michelle), Ryan Suydam, Taylor Schmitt (Karlee) and Mallory Schmitt; and his great grandchildren, Karsyn, Owen and Nova. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Lebanon Fire Department.
