He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Albert and Maria Rose Steffen; his stepmother Kathleen "Kay" Steffen (Dewayne); and his stepson Mark Mamizuka, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Anacleta Steffen; his daughters, Shouneyia Steffen and Melanie Treadway (Timothy); his grandchildren, Denys Ackerman III (Samantha Erwin), Emma Hosley, Deven Hosley, Abigail Treadway, Lawton Treadway, Rosie Treadway, Timothy Treadway and William Treadway; and his siblings, Frank Steffen, Jr. (Paula), Janet Steffen (Marty Ramos), Caroline Mendoza (Tim), Laura Westerbech (Michael), Suzanne Zwirchitz (Andy) and Jonathan Steffen (Sarah). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Meridith Funeral Home (317 W St Louis St, Lebanon, IL 62254). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Victory Church (223 Scott Troy Rd, O'Fallon, IL 62269).
