He was predeceased by: his wife Doris V. Tempia; his parents, Pearl Tempia and John D. Tempia; his stepfathers, Emil "Barney" Friederich and Henry Skaer; his son Anthony E. Tempia; his half-siblings, David Tempia, John Tempia and Judy; his wife Mary L. Tempia (Bludnick); and his stepdaughter Brenda L. Bludnick.
He is survived by: his sons, Frank N. Tempia (Rhonda) of Belleville, Ill. and Steven J. Tempia (Vicky) of Collinsville, Ill.; his stepdaughters, G. Paulette Reese (William) of Evansville and Mary Katherine Bludnick of Evansville, Ind.; and his grandchildren, Nicole Colbert (Chris) of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bradley Tempia (Elsa) of Colorado Springs, Colo., Matthew Tempia (Jennifer) of Burke and Rachel. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; loving great-nieces and nephews; cousins and dear friends.
