She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmanuel D. Garrett, Sr. and Elizabeth Buchanan (Garrett). She is survived by: her sons, Jerry Garrett (Ruby Garrett) and Carlos Shaeffers (JoAnne Shaeffers); and her goddaughter Adriana "Rudy" Sims. She is also survived by great grandchildren great-greatï¿½grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
