She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Schumulbach and Wilemina Schumulbach (George William "Bill"); her brother Harvery "Dutch" Schmulbach; and her sister-in-law Lois Schmulbach. She is survived by: her husband George "Bill" William Ballhausen; her children, Terry Ballhausen of Waterloo, IL, Linda Monken (Keith) of Swansea, IL and Becky Carl (Forrest) of St. Jacob, IL; her grandchildren, Tracy Kiem (Matt), Steven Ballhausen (Angie), Christopher Freeland (Katie), Nicole Freeland, Tim Freeland, Jason Trokey (Amy) and Samantha Carl; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, Syndey, Joe, Caiden, Kolten, Keagan, Ella, Lucy and Brennen; and her great great grandchild Aubrey.

Memorials in Doris' honor can be made out to The Belleville Humane Society & The Susan G. Komen Foundation.
