He is survived by: his wife Ruth Primus; his children, Pat Halter (Renee) of Lawrenceville, Kathy Cordes (Steve) of Lawrenceville, Ginny Hovermale (John) of Lawrenceville, Ruth Ann Myers (Michael) of Lawrenceville, Kelly Halter (Ruthie) of Lawrenceville, Tony Halter (Missy) of Vincennes, Angie Johnson (Darrin) of San Diego, Paul Halter of Lawrenceville, Mary Buchanan (Justin) of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Honorary; his siblings, Francis 'Boob' Halter of Vincennes, Indiana, Edward 'Short' Halter (Phyllis) of Vincennes, Indiana, Steve Halter (Marilyn) of Vincennes, Indiana, George Halter (Cathy) of Vincennes, Indiana, Judy Vieke (Ron) of Vincennes, Jane Cupp of Vincennes and Kay Jones (Dave) of Elgin, Illinois; his grandchildren, Brooke Halter, Blayze Miller, Katie Gher (Graham), Heidi Barney (Lance), Zach Lane (Julia), Josh Hovermale (Jenn), Lindsey Ochs (Tyler), Jennifer Pargin (Troy), Jason Morey (Barbie), Heather Tramel (Matt), Brandon Myers, Alex Halter, Madeline Halter, Clare Johnson, Morgan Halter, Wyatt Halter, Kendra Buchanan, Natalie Buchanan and Owen Buchanan; and his great grandchildren, Phoebe York, Vance Miller, Paxton Gher, Jones Gher, Emma Barney, Scarlett Lane, Peyton Decker, Hank Hovermale, Kai Hovermale, Sydney Pargin, Liam Morey and Reid Morey.
Memorial donations may be given to the Lawrence County Senior Citizens, St. Meinrad Seminary or to the Gibault School for Boys.
