He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Wakefield and Marjorie Wakefield (Kerner). He is survived by: his daughters, Amber Wakefield (Brock Sears) of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Ashley (Wakefield) and Hooten (Michael) of Tallahassee, Florida; his grandchildren, Woodrow Sears, Maximus Hooten, Hootlet II, Anna Bickers and Bebe Sears; his nephews, Jeffrey (Teresa) and Eric Ward (Lynn); his aunt Geneva Barber; and his uncle Larry Kerner (Delores).
In loving memory of Wayne, memorials may be made to Wayne's grandchildren's education fund c/o Amber Wakefield and Ashley Hooten.
