It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell L. Goins Sr. (Lawrenceville, Illinois), who passed away on October 14, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Martin and Lorene E. Goins (Russell); his siblings, Kenneth Goins and Kathleen Edwards; and his grandson Drew Goins.

He is survived by: his wife Alvyna K. Chavis; his children, Russell L. 'Rusty' Goins, Jr. (Elaine) of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Stephanie K. Goins of Lake Villa, Illinois; his stepgranddaughter Jessi Bowler of Lawrenceville; and his sisters, Sallee Walden of Princeton, Joyce Cooper of Bridgeport and Marva Green of Lawrenceville, Illinois..

Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville, Illinois.
