We are sad to announce that on January 7, 2019, at the age of 87, Paul Franklin Preston Sr. (Lawrenceville, Illinois), born in Flat Rock, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Randall B. Preston and Louise Marie Preston (Kent); his wife Thelma; his siblings, David Preston and Lois Salee; and his close friend Betty Hare.

He is survived by: his children, Paul F. Preston, Jr. (Brenna) of Lawrenceville, Michael R. Preston (Pam) of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Linda Thacker (Lee) of Oblong, Illinois; his brother Carl Preston (Sharon) of Oblong, Illinois; his grandchildren, Stephanie Preston, Jessica Alford (Darrell, Andrea Preston), Laura Mack (Andrew Zehner, Jenna), Chad Thacker (Dana) and Stacie Gibler (Michael); and his great grandchildren, Jason Alford, Ryan Alford, Brandon Thacker, Gage Gibler, Issac Gibler, Sydney Mack, Sophia Mack, Avery Zehner and Emery Zehner. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
