It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin M. Jones of Lawrenceville, Illinois, born in Georgetown, Illinois, who passed away on February 9, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Jones and Mildred Jones (Snider); his sister Helen Hillard; and his daughter Michelle Jones-Hankins. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Parke; his children, Melissa Sands of Catlin, Christopher Jones (Sanda) of Lawrenceville and Melanie Dawn Nall of Robinson, Illinois; and his brother Donald Jones (Melody) of Saratoga, California. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society.
