It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine L. Powell (Lawrenceville, Illinois), born in Owensville, Indiana, who passed away on July 16, 2018, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Warrick Hale and Hazel Hale (Linenburger); her husband Alfred; and her brothers, Raymond Hale and Bob Hale.
She is survived by: her children, Charlie Powell (Ruth) of Winchester, Dan (Bobbie) of Lawrenceville and Sue Klein (Steve) of Vincennes; her siblings, William Hale of St. Charles, Ruby Curl of Wingate and Phyllis Williams of Erwin; her sister-in-law Treva Iaun of Springfield; and her grandchildren, Carrie, David, Brian, Bill, Matt and Mark. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and many special nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Maxine's memory may be made to the United Methodist Village-North Campus, Lawrenceville.
