He is survived by: his former wife Sharon 'Sue Boatman; his wife Sue; his daughter Sandra Thompson (J. R.) of Lawrenceville, Illinois; his siblings, Gene Piper of Olney, David Piper (Twyla) of Lawrenceville, Bud Piper (Radonna) of Laurel, Mississippi, Cleora Gillespie-Weger of Flat Rock and Dorothy Laughlin of Bridgeport, Illinois; his grandchildren, Johnna Thompson and John R. Thompson (Kalena); and his great grandchildren, Rhys, Rory and Tyne Thompson.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens Center.
