He is survived by: his wife Karen Hovermale; his children, Douglas Holmes (Lori) of Lakeland, Theresa Mair (Scott Denuyl) of Evansville and Greg Holmes (Glenda) of Albion, Illinois; his brothers, Edgar 'Junior Holmes (Anne) of Lawrenceville and Garold Holmes of Lawrenceville, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Ryan Holmes, Aaron Holmes, Logan Holmes, Kristen Cheadle, Adam Mair and Tyler Mair. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
