With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harmon Reece Parrott of Lawrenceville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Veris Parrott and Mary Parrott (Gray); the mother of his children Ada Parrott; his brother Donard Parrott; and his grandson Thaddeus Keen Parrott.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Litherland (Gordon) of Lawrenceville, Gregory Parrott (Sarah Jennings) of Lawrenceville and Ronald Parrott of Lawrenceville, Illinois; his brother Kennard Parrott (Joyce) of Lake Wales, Florida; his grandchildren, Tonya Sullivan (John), Jody Brinkman (Jason Wallace), Tyler Parrott (Jessica), Emily Verone (Alec), Zane Parrott (Jennifer), Jessica Aten and Shelly Parrott (BJ Shick); and his great grandchildren, Jack Sullivan, Mason, Alice, Smith Parrott, Ellen, Jillian, Lauren Verone, Cayden, Cole Jones, Eliott, Emitt Parrott, Dylan, Laney, Leah Aten, Maggie and Eliza Kasinger.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (1303 12th St, Lawrenceville, IL 62439). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be given to the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church, the Lawrence County Senior Citizens or the Oblong Children's Home.
