She was predeceased by: her parents, Sampson Garrard and Nellie Maude Garrard (Frye); her husband William "Bill" Powden; and her daughter Judy Retan. She is survived by: her children, Dorthea Schreve (Butch) of Fairfield, Suzie Irwin (Tom) of Louisville, KY, Earl Powden of Bridgeport and Robert Powden (Jean) of Lawrenceville. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren: numerous great-grandchildren: and a few great-great-grandchildren.
