It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garold Lee Holmes of Lawrenceville, Illinois, who passed away on September 22, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edgar and Mary Theodore Holmes (Young); and his son Brad Holmes. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Rhodes (Jimmy) of Westfork and Sheri Vinson (Donnie) of Lawrenceville, Illinois; his daughter-in-law Melanie Holmes of Fort Branch, Indiana; his grandchildren, Bryan Vinson (Melissa) of Brownsburg, Amber Miller (Mark) of Robinson, Jessica Newton (Brandon) of Terre Haute, Joshua Holmes (Brianna) and Justin Holmes (Shandy) of Newton, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Xander Miller, Ben Newton, Hannah Newton, Emma Holmes and Emmit Holmes; his brother Edgar 'Junior Holmes (Anne) of Lawrenceville, Illinois; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Holmes of Mt. Carmel and Margie Holmes of Lawrenceville, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
