He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd C. Mahin and Hazel Mahin Jones (Thompson); his wife Carroll Sue Mahin (Claycomb); his half-brother James 'Jimmy C. Mahin; and his children, Melvin Myrle Mahin and Cinda Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Nesler, Glenda Rotramel (James), Linda Patton (late James) and Fred Myrle Mahin, Jr. (Tamara). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens Center.
