She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lyman and Glenna Judy (Markley); her husband Richard A. Akers; her son Artie Akers; and her siblings, Larry Judy, Richard Judy, Robert Judy, Harold Judy, Edwin Judy, Leslie Judy, Virginia Turner, Clara Brown and Evelyn Detty.

She is survived by: her children, Jimmie Akers (Anita) of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Judy Clark (Terry) of Flat Rock, Illinois; her daughter-in-law Peggy Akers of Lawrenceville, Illinois; her brother Jack Judy (Bonnie) of Newton, Illinois; and her grandchildren, April Ritter (Greg), Dustin Akers (Ann), Justin Akers (Jennifer), Brad Akers (Erin), Heather Doty (Daniel), Nathan Clark (Shaina Rand), Corrine Cresgy and Michele Peach. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Island Food Pantry or the Epilepsy Foundation.
