It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Shank of Lawrenceville, Illinois, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on August 6, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Effort James and Bessie Wilbanks (Ramey); her husband William V. Shank; her siblings, Cecil, Earl, Lawrence, Ralph, Rollie, Berry, Roscoe, Frank, Ruth, Grace, Olliebell, Ruby, Lomar and Nellie; and her close friend Nolan Hatfield.
She is survived by: her children, David Shank of Lawrenceville and Sandra Vickery (Billy) of Anderson; her grandchildren, Kristie Cunningham (Steve) and Grant Vickery (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Donovan Conwell, Bryson Vickery and Conner Vickery; and her close friend Peggy Cummins.
