Barbara Childress Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2019, at the age of 87, Barbara Childress (Lawrenceville, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas A. Diver and Louisa Diver (Sumner); her spouse Billie Lee Childress; her siblings, Pat, Tom, Joe, Ruth Diver, Dorothy Whitmarsh, Mary Curts and Virginia Mullins; and her close friend Roger Leighty.

She is survived by: her children, Dave Childress (Vicki) of Vincennes, Dan Childress (Laura) of Lawrenceville, Tom Childress (Kim Balding) of Newburgh, Indiana, Barbara Mayer of Sarasota, Karen Hilker (Dean) of Ocala, Teri Hardiman (Darvin) of Vincennes and Julie Bootman (Marty) of San Angelo, Texas; and her sisters, Gerry Cannon of Lawrenceville and Louise Diver of Lawrenceville, Illinois. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
