It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Ruppel (Lawrenceville, Illinois), who passed away on October 28, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Anthony and Frances Ellen Eluere (Cannon) of Vincennes; her son John (Joanie); her husband Edward George Ruppel; her brothers, Edward John Eluere and Joseph Eluere; and her great grandchild Damien.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa (Chuck Shelby), Mark (Stephanie Ruppel), Francis (Eileen Ruppel), Daniel Ruppel, Christopher (Seemein Ruppel), Mary Jane (Michael Zuzolo) and Jo Ellen (Keith Obermeyer); and her grandchildren, Christopher Ruppel (Karin), Elizabeth Hall (David), Katie Ruppel (John Stanwood), Nicholas Ruppel, Zoe Ruppel, Doug Shelby (Kate), Bryan Shelby (Mary Anne), Christie Smedley (Drew), Rachel Ruppel, Aaron Ruppel, Emily Ruppel, Kyle Ruppel (Leslie), Frances Myslinski (Zachary), Thomas Zuzolo (Lizzy Putbrese), Joseph Zuzolo, Peter Zuzolo, Anthony Zuzolo, Eric Obermeyer (Courtney Jo), Courtney Obermeyer (Jarrod Davis), Vince Obermeyer (Diana) and Josh Obermeyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Saint Lawrence Catholic Church.
