She was predeceased by: her parents, Venoy Smith and Mable Smith (Rhodes). She is survived by: her close friend Dr. Mary Jo Collins of Lawrenceville, Illinois; her sons, David Parrish (Kenneth) of Augusta and Michael Parrish (Ann) of Nashville, Tennessee; her brothers, Darrel Smith (Glenda) of Rapid City and Jerry Smith (Barbara) of Atoka, Tennessee; and her nephew Linus Parrish (Rachael) of Knoxville, Tennessee..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (1303 12th St, Lawrenceville, IL 62439). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society or the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
