He is survived by: his wife Janice Hobbs of Illinois; his sons, Adam Hobbs (Lindsay) of Georgia, Josh Hobbs (Daphne) of Smithville and Greg Hobbs (Natalie) of Texas; his stepchildren, Michael Obrien (Dongmei), Jennifer Venkat (Venkat) and Amy Dutton (Jake); and his brother-in-law Jack Tauber.
