It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Waltraud Popp of Lansing, Illinois, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Waltraud Popp to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Heinrich; her daughter Elfriede Zimbrich; her parents, Rosa Giegold and Edwin Giegold of Schwarzenbach; and her parents-in-law, Annemarie, Fritz Dorge, Irmgard and Don Sambrookes.
She is survived by: her brother Heinz Giegold; her sisters-in-law, Heike Giegold of Igensdorf, Germany and Friedlinde Giegold (late Max Giegold) of Heilbronn, Germany.; her sister Elsbeth Sutton (late Robert Sutton) of Omaha, NE; and her children, Edith Popp of Mineral, VA, Richard Popp of Santa Ana, CA and Marlene Dillon (Matt) of Munster, IN. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
