It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Kay (Nystrom) Carlson of Lansing, Illinois, who passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Larry; her parents, Russell Nystrom and Marion Nystrom; her sister Jeannie Lundsgaard; and her sister-in-law Elaine Howes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Massey (Ted) and Donna Even (Mark); her grandchildren, Adam Massey (Melissa), Alex Massey, Lilly Even-Wegner (Kyle) and Becca Even; her great grandchild Liam Massey; her pets, Charlie, Tipper Massey, Scout Massey, Po Even-Wegner and Thor Even-Wegner; her sister Kristine Ubbelohde (Jon); her brother-in-law Ron Howes; and her nieces and nephews, Peter Ubbelohde (Tammy), Andrew Ubbelohde (Emma), Ken Newberry (Jennifer), Dan Newberry, Kristen Newberry and Augusta Buscemi (John).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Susan's name to the American Lung Association.
