He was predeceased by: his wife Arlene D. Spilis; and his siblings, Walter Spilis and Irene Cudak. He is survived by: his children, Scott Spilis and Susan Engelbrecht; his granddaughters, Erin Sheffner (Chris) and Ashley Engelbrecht; and his great grandchildren, Nina and Devon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
