She was predeceased by: her sister Beatrice Nyenhuis (late Dwayne); and her parents, Lambert Olgers and Isla Mae Olgers. She is survived by: her children, Wayne Heerema (Theresa), Brenda DeYoung (Bryan), Luann Bulthuis (James), Gayle Ritzema (Edward) and Karen Rule (David); and her siblings, Margaret Dokter (Melvin), Carol Dulmes (Carl), Earl Olgers (Mary) and Sheila Jones (James).
