He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Jane; and his brother Harold. He is survived by: his wife Michele Boomsma; his son Kent Boomsma (Shila); his grandsons, Bryce and Brady of Wichita; his daughter Samantha Fisher (Ed); his grandchildren, Savanah and Cheyanne of Hebron; and his sister Lu Knoll of Sauk Village. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
