Rita R. Wario Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita R. Wario of Lansing, Illinois, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 40, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Nehemiah Wario; her brother Andrew DeJong; her father-in-law Wario Guyo Waakole; and her pet Buddy. She is survived by: her spouse Hussein Wario; her children, Ebbah Wario, Gabriella Wario and Zakariah Wario; her parents, Arthur DeJong and Anetta DeJong; her siblings, Arthur DeJong (Karen), Elizabeth DeJong, Eileen DeJong, Sarah-Lynn Kleyn (Steven), Suzanne (Reyenga), Rebecca Boer (Mark), Grace Kooiman (Jon), Martin DeJong (Karmin) and Edna Kamphuis (Aaron); her parent-in-law Khadijah Haguye Sigirso; her siblings-in-law, Roba Wario, Diram Wario, Dungiti Wario, Woticho Wario and Ali Wario Guyo; and her children, Venmo and Hussein-Wario.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Living Word Church (2248 186th St, Lansing, IL 60438).
