He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Ahrendt and Margaret Ahrendt. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Ahrendt; his daughters, Kristen Koszyk (Michael) and Kerri Roiniotis (William); and his grandchildren, John, Adam Koszyk, Drew and Benjamin Roiniotis. He is also survived by many family members and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic virus, funeral services for Richard were private.
