She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Carpenter and Margaret Carpenter (James); and her son Daniel J. James. She is survived by: her grandson Daniel T. James (DJ); her siblings, Pam Pries, Debbie Harvey, Ken Carpenter, Patty Lau and Paula Dobrowolski; her fiancé John LeGrand; and her pet Rocky.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to DJ college fund, as it was one of her main goals for him.
