He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Norman and Vernon Van Norman; and his wife Donna Van Norman. He is survived by: his children, Holly Paplomatas (Peter) and Chris Van Norman (Kathleen); his stepdaughter Michele Reynolds (Michael); his brother Thomas Van Norman; and his grandchildren, Nolan, Colin Maurer, Luke, Liam Paplomatas, Lucas, Keegan Van Norman, Monica, Michael and Thomas Reynolds.
