She was predeceased by: her parents, John Heintz and Elizabeth Heintz; and her brother Martin Heintz. She is survived by: her brothers, William and Ralph; and her sister-in-law Arlene Heintz. She is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces, and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joan's name to Pacific Garden Mission, 1458 S. Canal St., Chicago, IL 60607.
