She was predeceased by: her husband Milton Derks; her grandson Alex Derks; and her siblings, Richard Northcutt, Millard Northcutt, Dorothy Mead and Clark Northcutt.
She is survived by: her children, Marvin Derks (Sara), Ron Derks (Cindi), Cheryl Blair (Chuck) and Karen Scherwin (Jerry); her grandchildren, Wes Derks (Bekah), Ben Derks (Lynsey), Danielle Mankin (Dave), Greg Blair (Alexa), Ryan Blair, Jerry Scherwin (Lauren), Lauren Batayeh (Josh), Daniel Derks and Megan Derks; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Aurora, Lincoln Blair, Avery, Reid Mankin, Remy, Dax and Addisyn Derks; and her siblings, Oliver Northcutt (late Phyllis), Mattie Kellner (Jack), RebaNell Piatt (Larry) and Marcus Northcutt (Nona).
Due to COVID-19, a private funeral will be held at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois and burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Hassie's name to Hospice of the Calumet Area, Munster, Indiana.
