He was predeceased by: his son Robert Scott Furtek; his sister Sandra Grutzius; and his parents, Joseph Furtek and Gertrude Furtek. He is survived by: his wife Naomi Furtek; his sons, Timothy and Charles Furtek; his stepson Brian McClanahan; and his siblings, Joseph Furtek and Rose Marie Wegrzyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Lansing, IL.
