It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine (Carlson) D. Howes of Lansing, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 28, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Otto and Astrid Carlson (Persson) of Virginia; and her brother Lawrence H. Carlson. She is survived by: her husband Ron Howes; her children, Kenneth D. Newberry (Jen) and Kristen E. Newberry; her stepsons, Jim Howes and Dan Howes (Eva); her grandchildren, Kayla Petrie (Nate), Kori Newberry, Shelby Newberry, Ilana Newberry, Dakota Newberry, Oley Newberry, Cara Sutkowski (Dave), Jake Howes and Cole Howes; her great grandchildren, Nate Petrie, Jr., Nick Petrie, Nyla Petrie and Charlee Sutkowski; her sister-in-law Susan Carlson; her nieces, Lisa Massey (Ted) and Donna Even (Mark); and her pet Cash.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elaine's name to the Hospice of the Calumet Area.
