Chuck Hvala wrote a sympathy message

“Dave has been a friend for over 60 years. He was always there with a smile, joke or attentive ear to cheer you up or give you morale support. Over the years, space and life made seeing one another more difficult but we always kept in touch - especially sharing his family on Facebook. So enjoyable to share the White Sox games and the pizza restaurant that he enjoyed. Dave will be missed by many but especially his family. You have my deepest sympathy. May he Rest In God’s Tree all peace.”

Mark Raybould wrote a sympathy message

“Dave was a true character. I knew him from childhood and will dearly miss him. Unfortunately, as we grew older our paths led us in different directions. But, we still kept in touch and he was a true friend. Please accept my condolences. I will remember him very fondly as a great friend and a great person. RIP Pancho Mark Raybould”
